I’m sitting at my desk snacking on some Great Value chips. Now if you aren’t a Walmart shopper like I am, those are Walmart’s generic brand, and before you say “Ew” and close out your browser, hear me out, their restaurant-style tortilla chips are actually pretty delicious and a favorite in my house.

Those delicious chips (which I highly recommend you buy) are definitely one of the few situations where the generic version wins. But honestly, there aren’t many situations like that. In fact, one of my biggest pet peeves is generic (aka stereotypical) real estate agents. You know the type: black blazer, arms crossed, no personality, and a feed full of “Just Listed” and “Just Sold” posts.

I make a real effort not to be the bland, cookie-cutter, copy-paste kind of agent. But there are a few “agenty” things that actually matter, like staying on top of local market stats. That’s why I take some time to write out this market update once a month.
